Enoxaparin.
Enoxaparin is an antithrombotic agent; a low molecular weight heparin that exists as a sodium salt, which acts by binding to Anti- Thrombin III leading to inhibition of coagulation, factors IIa and Xa.
Indications:
โข Deep-vein thrombosis.
โข Pulmonary embolism.
โข Acute coronary syndromes: Unstable angina (UA), non-ST-elevation (NSTEMI), and ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
โข Prevention of clotting in extracorporeal circuits.
Points of interest:
โข Tell your doctor immediately if you have any signs of bleeding (nose bleeds, unexpected bruising, dark or bloody feces).
How to use:
As per as direction of doctor.
Active Ingredients:
Enoxaparin Sodium.
Side effects:
โข Bleeding.
โข Bruising and pain at injection site.
โข Hyperkalemia.
Cautions:
โข Used with extreme caution in patients with history of heparin- induced thrombocytopenia with or without thrombosis.
โข Injection: should be used with caution in conditions with increased potential for bleeding such as: impaired hemostasis, history of peptic ulcer, recent ischemic stroke, uncontrolled severe arterial hypertension, diabetic retinopathy, recent neurological or ophthalmologic surgery.
โข Risk of hyperkalemia appears to increase with duration of therapy but usually reversible; measure Plasma levels.
โข Obese patients are at higher risk for thromboembolism.
โข Contraindicated in patients with severe uncontrolled hypertension.
โข Contraindicated in patients with Acute major bleeding.
Interactions:
โข Diclofenac: enhance the anticoagulant effect resulting in emorrhage.
โข ACEI or ARBs: increased risk of hyperkalemia when heparin is given concomitantly with an ACEI or ARB.
Quantity:
2 Syringes.

Keep at room temperature.
